Maranta leuconeura var. erythroneura, aka Maranta Red or Red Prayer Plant, is a pet-friendly prayer plant known for its dramatic foliage. Native to the tropical forests of Brazil, it has striking oval leaves, with a mixture of greens and a herringbone-like pattern of light yellow veining. The bottoms of the leaves are a beautiful contrasting red.
