Monstera Sierrana, scientifically known as Monstera deliciosa var. sierrana, is a rare and highly sought-after ecotype of Monstera deliciosa, native to the Sierra Juárez mountain range in Oaxaca, Mexico. What sets this variety apart is its deeply pinnatisect fenestrations, which often reach all the way to the midrib, along with a distinct cluster of secondary window-like openings. Unlike the more commonly seen Monstera deliciosa, Sierrana features a flatter sinus and more dramatic leaf cuts even at a younger stage.
