Pinguicula Huahuapan, botanically known as Pinguicula moranensis ‘Huahuapan’, is a diminutive but striking Mexican butterwort known for its vibrant green rosettes and elegant lilac purple flowers. Originally collected from Huahuapan de León, Oaxaca, Mexico, this cultivar was registered in 1998 and is prized for its narrow flower lobes, which give the blooms a delicate, slightly spider like appearance. Compact, beautiful, and highly rewarding, P. ‘Huahuapan’ is also valued by breeders and is known as the mother plant of hybrids such as ‘Fairy Star’.
